What's the Bigger Question

Asking What's the Bigger Question in about 250 Words

Due to the Learjet plane crash on November 01, 2026, in Florida, I thought about what the passengers must have thought when the plane started to nose-dive because, at some point, it was inevitable that they weren’t going to survive.

That drop in altitude at that speed and under that pressure made it impossible for the plane ever to get upright. At some point, in that small amount of time, they knew their existence on this earthly plane was coming to an end. It’s the most horrible thought, but one they must have reconciled before moving on to their next.

Hopefully, those nine souls thought about their loved ones instead of the incoming impact. And those thoughts created a warm bubble around them, carrying them safely to the next dimension.

I’d like to think they didn’t think about what they hadn’t accomplished in life or what they wished they had done. I hope regret never entered their atmosphere. Yet, I can’t help but feel their fright.

When you realize there are seconds left to live, there’s little left to do but pray. Pray for forgiveness. Pray for those left behind. Pray for those beside you.

The best thing that could happen did, if it could be called the best thing, when it comes to an impending death that they could do nothing about. One second here, the next gone, vaporized into the afterlife.

It raises the question: what would you think about if you only had one minute to live?
